Roderick Coover and Scott Rettberg will show the cinematic version of Hearts and Minds: The Interrogations Project at Galeria Bunkier Sztuki, Kraków. The performance of the VR work, based on true stories of American soldiers who tortured prisoners in Iraq, will be followed by an audience discussion of the work and the issues it raises. Hearts and Minds was the winner of the Electronic Literature Organisation’s 2016 Robert Coover award for a work of electronic literature.
This performance is scheduled as an off-program event as part of the DH 2016 conference. The authors will give a separate talk about the project the following day at DH 2016.
Galeria Bunkier Sztuki is one of Kraków’s leading contemporary art venues and the home of Ha ! Art’s bookstore. The venue will be open from 7PM.
Admission is free. Book in advance to reserve a space in the theatre. Reservations are not required but we will save seats for everyone who books in advance.
